Linerider draws a line straight into heart, Wii, and DS.

Linerider, the “it” flash game of 2 years ago, is making its way onto the Wii and DS. While this bit of information isn’t new perse, the accompanying video certainly is. Described as the “debut” trailer, this version of Linerider certainly looks like a major visual upgrade from previous incarnations. It is still unclear whether this video is from the Wii or PC version, though the DS can probably be safely ruled out on resolution alone. The lack of second screen footage is kind of the nail in the coffin.

The lack of stupid cut-away shots of beautiful 20-somethings and moderate-to-creepy-looking octogenarians flailing their arms about in nonrhythmic concert makes me skeptical that this is a promotional video for the Wii too, though.

Decide for yourself:

The original Linerider can be played on its website for free. So enjoy that. Really.

There is currently no firm release date or information of any kind, really. The DS version will probably be released in stores; the Wii version would find a nice home on the Wiiware service coming early this year.

Seriously: release this on Wiiware.
