Remember that list of similarities between the Xbox 360 and the Dreamcast 1up.com published around the launch of our red-ring-prone friend? Well, add another item to that list as Rez, the game which should be owned by anyone who considers themselves a fan of on-rails, techno-music-creating, rhythm/shooters about hacking into computer systems, is coming very soon.

Kotaku has some new screenshots from the remake, but honestly, if you haven’t played the original, you probably won’t know what the hell you’re looking at. Protips: the silver, human looking thing in the center is your avatar; the gray box is your aiming reticule; and just about everything else is shit you shoot at. Hopefully the re-release of Rez leads to some multiplatform sequels and Guitar Hero levels of popularity and sales, paving the way to a new Renaissance in gaming where there are no Kings and all people connect as one on the metaphysical level. Hopefully.
