Capcom quitely releases tiny Okami Wii screens

OkamiiWith the approaching re-release of Capcom/Clover Studio’s Okami, you’d think we would have heard, and more importantly seen, some new information on the waggle-enhanced redo. Well, thankfully, that silence has been broken and though the scraps we’ve been give are tiny, we graciously accept the sadistic hold Capcom still holds over our hearts and imaginations.

First we have the official Okami boxart, which looks sufficiently unique and sufficiently awesome. Now, thanks to Capcom’s own online store listing, we also have the first screenshots of the Wii version. I think you should be warned that these shots are small and it is quite possible you will go blind from A) squinting too hard to make out the details or B) the rage from knowing that the game’s 16:9 aspect ratio mode could possibly be the 4:3 mode with black bars to compensate.

Oh well, can’t win them all, especially considering how notoriously challenging the development process has been. Even with possible black bars, the game looks great and hopefully will pull in some relatively good sales. It is becoming increasingly hard to argue that Capcom hasn’t been giving its fans what they want lately, so why don’t you do your part and pre-order this thing already?

Okami is currently set for a release sometime in March, most likely on the 25th. It will set you back $39.99.
