Samba will be your Amigo a little later than expected

Samba De Delay!First shown a few weeks ago, the upcoming Wii version of Samba de Amigo certainly looked promising, even if it didn’t include the signature maracas. Well, it looks like developer Gearbox will be given a bit more time to, excuse the industry terms, tighten up the graphics, as the game has inexplicably been pushed back to a nondescript “Summer 2008.”

While this won’t be enough of a delay to begin manufacturing a maraca attachment, this will most likely afford Gearbox the time to make sure the game functions as it should, which is never a bad thing. When it was first shown, the game reportedly had trouble registering the requisite “shakes.” This was explained away with the fact that the game was still in its early stages, so the game getting a slight bump back isn’t unexpected.

Looks like those jonesing for their Samba de Amigo fix will have to wait for Sega Super Stars Tennis on the 18th.
