With WiiWare’s Japanese launch only a few short weeks away, we’re finally getting a few small pieces of information information. Today, Nintendo released a few videos showing off some footage from the launch’s offerings, the first of which is for the game Star Solider R. Coming from developer Hudson, and continuing a long tradition of shmups, Star Soldier R was one of the very first WiiWare titles shown. If you’re unfamiliar with the series, there are already a number of the older, classic games available for the Virtual Console. Pro-tip: if the game includes any mixture of the words “star” or “soldier” in its title, then it is most likely a game in the series.
