What the: Guitar Hero for DS revealed
Let it never be said that Activision, the publishers of Guitar Hero, hates money. Sure, every company loves money and works to get the largest amount of it possible, but who amongst us could have truly foreseen this: Guitar Hero: On Tour for the Nintendo DS. Many would have thought that the inerrant flaws of a portable console would have dissuaded even the most money starved of large corporations, but not Activision.

No, not Activision. They saw the DS and realized they could release an add-on that slides into the Gameboy slot, still allowing them to produce the truly lucrative part of Guitar Hero: peripherals. As you can see above, you use your left hand to hold the DS and press the additional buttons, while your right hand is given a special guitar-pick-stylus to strum on the touchscreen. The Guitar Hero add-on also comes with a special strap that holds the system to your hand, not unlike most video cameras. If any part of that description sounds confusing, check out the premier video below for clarification.
The game will feature both single player and multiplayer modes, including a Guitar Hero 3-like battle mode. The soundtrack will include over 20 songs by bands like Nirvana, No Doubt, and OK Go. No specific release date besides “Summer 2008″ was given nor was a specific price point.
